23 Mar Statement Regarding COVID-19
AGS Scientific, as your North American Representative for Nippon Instruments Corporation (NIC) and A.Krüss Optronic, is committed to the safety and health of our customers and our employees. As the impact of COVID-19 grows in North America, we want to update everyone on the steps we are taking to help protect against the spread of the virus while continuing to support our customers and take care of our employees through innovative changes to our process.
Customer Support: Current Status & New Innovations
Our office in Texas will remain open until further notice. On-site employees will continue to support critical operations and allow us to work directly with our customers regarding new instrument sales, receive orders and ship product while maintaining the lowest exposure risk possible.
Our Customer Support Team will continue to support your NIC Mercury Analyzers or A.Krüss Optronic products with dedicated applications and instrument troubleshooting by phone & email. In addition, we have recently created a Client Portal (Click Here to Access) that includes a Knowledge base of Technical Support Articles, Videos, & Spare Parts information. This Client Portal is available to all AGS Scientific customers free of charge.
Also available through the Client Portal is our new Remote Access feature, allowing us to gain full control of instruments that are connected to a PC controller for troubleshooting purposes. This feature does require that your PC controller be connected to the internet and your IT department grants us access within your network.
As an innovative approach to performing onsite installations and repairs, we are now offering live web-based support as an alternative. Considering that travel across North America will be difficult in the coming weeks or months, we can continue to provide the services that our customers require using live webcams. Since we have each of the analyzers that we sell in our demonstration laboratory, we can walk customers through the installation step by step, circumventing travel bans and limiting the exposure risks for both our customers and our employees. The same live webcams can be used for extensive troubleshooting and repairs, as needed.
