Cooled Incubators

POL-EKO®

ST Series — Cooled Incubators, 3 to 65 °C

POL-EKO ST Series cooled incubators, ST 2 P with SMART PRO controller

Applications

Commonly used for:

  • BOD determination and wastewater testing
  • Seed germination and plant studies
  • Stability and shelf-life testing
  • Sample storage at a constant temperature
  • Microbiology and environmental laboratories

Why POL-EKO® Cooled Incubators?

POL-EKO® designs and manufactures the ST series in Poland, and every cooled incubator shares the SMART controller platform used across the company’s thermostatic range. One interface covers every unit in the lab, the same logging and connectivity is on all of them, and the configuration sheet is long enough that the unit matches the application rather than the other way around.

What the ST series gives you:

  • Incubation and storage from 3 to 65 °C (37 to 149 °F), independent of room conditions
  • Precise heating and cooling systems working together to hold a stable setpoint
  • R1234ze refrigerant with an ultra-low global warming potential (GWP = 7)
  • Full event logging in internal memory, with email alarm notification
  • Wi-Fi, USB, and LAN, with LabDesk software for traceable documentation

How the ST Series Works

An ST cooled incubator carries both a heating system and a cooling system, and the controller works them against each other to hold the chamber at setpoint regardless of what the room is doing. That is what lets one unit run from 3 °C — below most ambient conditions — up to 65 °C.

Cooling uses R1234ze, a refrigerant with a global warming potential of 7. Every chamber has an integrated door lock, and an internal glass door is available as an option so the load can be checked without opening the unit. The SMART PRO controller runs the process from a 7″ full-color touchscreen, logs every event to internal memory, and can send alarm notifications to designated email addresses.

  • SMART PRO controller — 7″ full-color touchscreen designed in-house by the POL-EKO® engineering team, operated mainly through icons
  • Four-core 64-bit processor — 1.5 GHz with 4 GB RAM for fast response, smooth multitasking, and stable operation
  • Event logging and email alarms — every event written to internal memory, with alarm notifications sent to the addresses you designate
  • User Note — add personalized comments to recorded data for context, traceability, and clearer documentation
  • Startup self-diagnostics — critical components checked at every startup, with operation protected against loss of communication between peripheral units
  • Wi-Fi, USB, and LAN — three routes for data transfer, plus the LabDesk Cloud app for live status from a phone, tablet, or laptop

Alarms, Logging, and Remote Access

The controller writes every event to internal memory and sends alarm notifications to the email addresses you designate, so a deviation reaches you instead of waiting to be found. LabDesk software handles data management and unit performance monitoring and integrates with CFR 21 Part 11-compliant systems where traceable records are required. The LabDesk Cloud app shows live status and recorded data from any device.
