AGS Scientific was founded as a laboratory instrument distributor in 2003 by three friends & colleagues that had strong beliefs in doing business the right way. We started AGS Scientific intent on building a business that truly focused on the needs of its customers, providing them with top quality solutions, and having a little fun while doing it. Through the years, the members of AGS Scientific have worked to bring new products to the laboratory analyzer market, provided highly technical applications support, and created strong partnerships with our customers & colleagues that will last a lifetime.

From the very beginning, AGS Scientific and Nippon Instruments Corporation (NIC) have had a very powerful relationship. NIC, based in Osaka, Japan, manufacturers laboratory, field, and process mercury analyzers for the analysis of wastewaters, ambient air, soils, foods, hydrocarbon liquids & gases among other sample types. While the NIC mercury analyzers have been the go-to mercury analyzers in the Asia-Pacific region for decades, their sales in North America were very limited prior to 2003. AGS Scientific has worked very closely with NIC to help westernize and improve their marketing, even working hand-in-hand in the development of new products to better serve our customers in North America. Today, NIC is now the World Market Leader in the mercury analyzer market.
AGS Scientific has more recently partnered with A.KRÜSS Optronic, allowing us to take advantage of our skills in new markets. A.KRÜSS Optronic, based in Hamburg, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of high-precision optoelectronic measuring devices and analytical instruments. This family-run business was founded in 1796 and offers an extensive range of products and customized solutions for quality assurance in the pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, food and beverage industry as well as for research and science. Whether it is a refractometer, polarimeter, density meter, gas analyzer, flame photometer, melting point meter or microscope, A.KRÜSS Optronic instruments meet the highest requirements in terms of speed, accuracy and reliability. Thanks to very strong R&D capacities, A.KRÜSS Optronic is a driving force in the technology market setting the standards for functional scope and user-friendliness.
To help provide more complete solutions to our customers, AGS Scientific offers certified mercury calibration standards, a range of labware products, and a complete line of reagents and sampling kits designed specifically for US EPA Method 1631E. We continue to add innovative, high-quality products for our customers.
